At no other time in his career has James been such a dominating cultural figure. His presence in Los Angeles alongside numerous film and television projects will only work to heighten his global influence. Yet from a very singular standpoint regarding the upcoming season, his very first game as a Laker and the sneakers he wears is an intriguing sub-category to a much wider story.
It’s assumed that James will lace up the Nike LeBron 16 “King” for his season opener, on October 18, on the road against the Portland Trailblazers. Release details for the shoe have not yet been announced.
The “Fresh Bred” LeBron 16 is available here.
Update 10/9: Official images of the Nike LeBron 16 “King” have been revealed. The shoe is slated to release on October 15 one day before the start of the 2018-19 NBA season. It’s widely assumed James will kick-off the season in his “King” 16s.
Update 10/18: The “King” Nike LeBron 16 will release tonight when the Los Angeles Lakers kick off their regular season. Pairs will be available at 10:30 EDT on Nike SNKRS. James is still expected to lace up the shoe for his regular season Lakers debut.

The best way to determine your shoe laces size is to measure the length of the shoelaces you are replacing and most closely match it with our size options. **This will give you the most accurate fit**
If you are unable to measure the old shoe laces you want to replace, refer to the shoe lace size chart below. Keep in mind, these are suggestions and can be slightly affected by your lacing preferences, if you have a quite large or very small shoe size, and the distance between eyelets.
The correct Lace Kings shoe lace length is generally determined by how many pairs of eyelets (or holes) your shoes have.
*SHORTER: If your shoe eyelets are positioned very close together across the tongue, you may want to choose your length from the shorter side of the above chart. The smaller option can also be a good choice for petite women's sneakers or children's sizes. Also, if you prefer to leave your shoes untied, the shorter size may be preferable.
*LONGER: Choose the longer option for most men's shoe sizes or if you prefer to have enough length at the end to double knot.
*Note: Choose your size according to how many eyelets you plan on using on your shoe to get the best fit if you do not plan on lacing them all the way up to the top pair of eyelets.
